Parasite Post

I'd like to call your attention to a post over at a blog I favor these days, Violent Acres. The author is fearless, and more often than not hits the nail on the head with brutal honesty.

An interaction yesterday concerning my terminally ill mother drove home the distinction V makes perfectly.  I'm off to give a final exam, and rather than write about my rage I simply offer a photo, one I found on another blog, which is worth a million words:

I LOVE this!
How perfect is the name?

Thanks, although I'm not sure which name you mean!

You need to read VA now. Really.

I'm thinking about you, my friend. I'm here if you want to vent, okay?

Glad you found VA. She's pretty brutal, and a complete guilty pleasure.

One more word: lunch. Call me. Okay, that was three words, but you get the idea. :-)

Wow, you didn't mention that. You have my sincerest sympathy in your efforts to navigate the stress-pool of illness and relatives. Brent

To Lithia Writers: Well to tell you that would be blowing my so-called anonymity woudn't it? But wait...who said any thing about my sibling's?

To Brent: Thanks...My mom has lasted far beyond anyone's predictions. Turns out that if you can live to be almost 87 and have nothing wrong with you except really nasty ovarian cancer you can hang around a lot longer. This week, I think, marks the second anniversary of the "three months if you do nothing, and no one knows how long if you do palliative chemo" speech. "
